Carpet Cleaning using Baking soda

Baking soda has well know cleaning effects.

Just one of them would be to clean stains and soiled surfaces and bring back the shine to enamel and porcelain.
Baking soda may as well be used on fabrics. Treat some powder to the stain fabric and the using damp cloth rub it into the fabric. Please be careful as using too much soda or on specific fabrics may result in discoloration. It is always advisable to try out on hidden areas first and check within a few minutes that colours do not change.

Just curious: Baking soda provides such great cleaning and stain removing results that many big companies use it in tooth paste and washing powder.

Check out the label of yours, it might just contain a bit of home baking stuff.
